CCTV ARC Operator

Job description: My client is now seeking CCTV operators for is CCTV centre in Cowley which covers the whole of the UK

The main purpose of this role is to provide a professional and exceptional service to the ARC customers through innovative and proactive behaviour and following and defining best practice

You will reporting to the site manage and you will be part of a team providing 24/7 coverage 365 days a year.

Key Relationships and Interfaces
Establish working relationships based on an open two way effective communication style with
• All customers internal and external
• ARC Operations Team
• Wider Security and Group Security departments
• Health, Safety, Environment, Fire Managers and Advisors across the group Group.
• Members of relevant Group Business Units when coordinating activity and presenting information.

ACCOUNTABILITES
Operational Processes, Procedures and Project Delivery
• To support the Security in the initiation of asset loss protection specific to crime prevention strategies.
• To support My clients Security’s management and operational usage of overt Integrated Security systems at all client locations.
• To operate, monitor and prioritise all security systems located within the ARC in an efficient proactive / reactive manner, ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures, current legislation and the codes of practice.

Monitoring and Measuring
• To monitor CCTV systems, access control systems, alarm detection systems, and all other systems that may be introduced into the ARC operation
• To effectively monitor systems to the clients agreed SLA,s
• Monitoring and controlling certain functional elements of the rostering management system that support Security Solutions operations, against SOPs and policies
• To comply with all NSI standards and policies

External Interfaces
• To liaise with external clients and as necessary external bodies such as Police and local authorities.

Qualifications and Experience
• SIA CCTV public sector licence holder is essential
• Relevant and recent experience of working in a busy commercial control room environment, to include CCTV operation and monitoring of computerised security systems / databases
• Operating knowledge of Data Protection Act is essential.
• Excellent IT skills in MS Office especially Word, Excel and knowledge of Lotus Notes
• Attention to detail and methodical approach to work is essential.
• An ability to act calmly and make decisions in difficult / crisis situations
• To maintain the company’s confidentiality at all times
